Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor call for Dialogue in LMA’s Saga

Vice President Howard-Taylor addresses the aggrieved marketers

Vice President Jewel Howard Taylor has proposed a dialogue aimed at finding a resolution to an apparent crisis involving members of the Liberia Marketing Association (LMA), a release from the office of the Vice President has said.
According to the release, the VP’s proposal followed her brief interaction with some aggrieved members of the association on Monday, February 26.
The LMA members are questioning the legitimacy of the current leadership headed by Madam Alice Yeebahn, who was elected a year ago, but has been accused of complicity in a murder case reported in Nimba County in 2002.
In an attempt to resolve the conflict, Vice President Taylor requested a meeting with 10 of the markets at her Capitol Building office on Tuesday, February 27.
Prior to her interaction with the aggrieved LMA members, the Vice President briefly attended the ongoing 6th National Convention of the LMA, which is being held at the Rally Town Market, UN Drive, the head office of the Association.
Vice President Taylor encouraged the marketers to focus on the improvement of their lives and the country’s economy.
